HIIT Cardio Friday

I have been slacking in the cardio area lately.  I have decided to try and get 2-3 days of cardio in during the week.  I like HIIT (high intensity interval training) as it gets your heart rate up in a short amount of time.  I don’t have that much time for workouts these days, so this really helps me get the blood pumping.

Today’s workout is two rounds.  The first is a pyramid round.  Complete all the exercises for 10 reps, then 9, then 8 etc.  Go all the way down to 1 rep.  Try not to rest too much between sets.  Just enough to get a quick drink if needed.

The second round are kettlebell swings, crunches and leg lifts.  Do not rest between sets.  Try your best to complete 10 rounds.  But if you are exhausted from the first round shoot to complete 5-7 rounds.  When you are ready to call it quits, complete 1 more round.

This would be a great workout to have for the optional day in the 30 day challenge
